Recently, I met a lovely lady who told me about her experience through truly difficult times.

She also told me that her illness was a trigger to embrace life as it is. She walked away from her successful but stressful career to live in nature with her family.

Very often, we struggle and experience suffering in life when it falls short of our expectations.

We demand it should be different.

Aruga-mama is derived from the psychological principles of Japanese Zen.

The reality exists in front of you as it is, so why do you struggle with the reality?

Instead of struggling with our reality, we can accept it as it is (aruga-mama)
We can then ask ourselves….

What is my life asking of me?
How can I make sense of my life?

By addressing these questions we become more able to receive and process practical inner guidance, helping us to cope better during difficult times.

Those who are able to accept and find meaning from difficult life events will find more peace and live life with more satisfaction.

Remember, we do not need to wait for life changing events.

We can prevent injury and even illness caused by stress and over work by gaining skills to communicate with our body’s sensations.

In the last 2 months, I have received requests for regular workshops.
So I shall open the door to those who are interested in living life more in-tune with their inner-selves.

The class introduces a range of different mindfulness practices that can easily be integrated into everyday life.

1. Mindful Prāna Yoga (meditation with movement)
2. Formal meditation
3. Breathing exercises
4. Body scan

You will gain awareness and the ability to recognize your own limits in any given moment – thereby preventing you from exceeding these.

This is the key for our wellbeing.

After the practice you will experience true relaxation.
With a calm mind you will become more productive and effective.

By practicing aruga-mama, you will develop the ability to see and accept reality as it is. This will allow you to take more effective decisions and actions.

With everyday practice you will gain appreciation of how your body sustains you as a life force and be able to connect with your innate sense of inner stillness.

This will cultivate a deeper sense of self-respect and self-compassion.

Everyday Mindfulness Sunday Workshop will start from 12th March, 1:30pm to 3pm, Every Sunday at The Rufus House.
